Posted by Unknown in Business, Creative writing, Google, PayPal, Website, Writers Resources, Writing, Writing and Editing on Wednesday, February 1, 2012
There are just too many writing sites on the internet. It is a matter of searching the most credible and established writing sites for any online writer to work on. As you know, my blog is all about discovering income generating websites, something that I can share with my readers. Most of the websites that I have reviewed so far have been tried and tested by yours truly. However, there were also some sites that I have not tried yet. Now, this is where I need some honest opinions from my blog readers who can share a thing or two about a particular website. This is a great channel for us to brainstorm ideas, make suggestions, and even identify some scam sites.
Anyway, talking about my topic for the day, I found out Work-Online.org.uk while searching the internet. Here are what I learned from the site:
What is Work-Online.org.uk?
Work-Online.org.uk is a UK based company. The site has its slogan, "You type, we pay". This is a writing site in which you can showcase your skill in writing stories.
Who can apply?
Anyone can apply as long as you are 10 years old and above. For under 18 y.o., you need to have your parent's permission to register on the site. This is actually a good chance for teenagers who dabble into writing and work at home moms who have ample time to write online. You just need to use your skills and imaginations, then put it into writing.
How to start writing on Work-Online.org.uk?
It is very simple, you sign up, choose your username and password, provide your email address and date of birth. Then, an email validation will be sent to you and you need to click the link. After that, you can log in, start writing and earn money. You need to browse your account page and choose a group from the list of stories available. There are no limits as to how many you can write. You just have to finish writing one story before proceeding to another story group. If your work is declined, it will be sent back to you and see the reason/s why your work is declined. Do not worry, you can make some necessary changes and resubmit your written story.
How much do I earn?
You can earn from 5p to £1.50. You earn more money depending on the required words. So, if you have written around 400 words, you could earn around 75p. For 25 words, you could earn 5p.

It will take up around 14 days to process payments from the moment the company receive confirmation of your payment request. In addition, aside from writing stories, one can earn from this site through their referral system. If you are interested just visit the site, Work-Online.org.uk.
My verdict:
I read both positive and negative feedback about this site. We can see on the site's homepage their top 5 earners. Let me just note that I have never tried this site so I cannot attest whether it is legitimate or not. Remember, before you apply for any writing site, read for feedback first from other writers. Of course, never shell out any amount of money to apply for an online job. Anyway, if you have any experience from this site, feel free to share it.

A friend of mine informed me regarding Ghostbloggers.net. I am not really familiar about this site so I did a little investigation. I gathered some interesting information for everyone who is aspiring to earn extra income online. Anyway, here is what I learned from this site:

In addition, there are moderators that will ensure that the submitted articles are error free before they are approved to be sold on the site. Feedback will be given for low quality or denied articles.

Anyone can apply as long as you can write proper English. Articles in foreign languages are not available at this time. You can sign up readily and there is no need to take any test. You can start submitting your good quality articles anytime. Take note, it does not guarantee you that your articles will be purchased immediately by blog owners. It is the discretion of the buyers on what articles to buy that are fit for their blog sites.
How much can you earn from selling your articles?
Once your articles are approved, it will be added immediately on the system. Buyers will browse over the available articles and may choose to buy it. If you opt for the standard pricing model, you will earn US$3.50 per 100 words. Still, you can set a different price for your articles. Keep in mind that your article is only sold once to a single client. Once your article is sold, copyright is automatically transferred to the buyer. The minimum cash-out is set at US$25.
Does Ghostbloggers take a commission from your sold articles?
Ghostbloggers fee is added on top of the selling price which is 30%. They do not take a cut from the writer's profit.

For a freelance writer, this is a good chance for you to earn additional income. However, you should not only rely on Ghostbloggers since there is a chance that your articles may not be purchased right away. For additional information, you may visit the site, Ghostbloggers.net.

Triond.com Review
Posted by Unknown in Blog, FAQs Help and Tutorials, PayPal, Services, Triond, Writers Resources on Saturday, December 17, 2011
If you love to write any relevant topics, then Triond is just the right place for you. It is your opportunity to share your passion in writing. Anyway, I have been a member of this site for barely a month now. I just tried it when a friend of mine recommended it to me. What I like about this site is that it has a professional designed platform. It is easy to maneuver. You will also have your personal webpage in which you can add friends, post your blog sites, articles, photos and more. You can submit not just articles but as well as your videos, photos and sound files. The submitted articles, photos and other things are reviewed immediately and after a few minutes, these will be published on different sites affiliated to Triond.
Anyway, the good thing about this site is that you can earn extra money. One can earn money from Triond every time a person views your articles. If you get more views on your submitted articles and photos, then you earn more as well. However, the amount is quite low and not sufficient enough for a writing job. Still, do not be disappointed. If you have your own blog, then you can take advantage of Triond. There are several Triond members who are established bloggers. You can make friends with them and build consistent followers for your own blog.
So far, I have only submitted two articles and a photo since I am still testing this site. In just less than a week, I got twelve views from fellow Triond members and I earned US$0.01. I was really surprised that with just a small number of views I can start earning. A good tip to earn more views is to promote your articles to your social networking friends, your family members or simply put up a Triond widget on your blog site. In this way, viewers of your blog may have a chance to view your articles on Triond. Setting up your Triond widget is just very easy to do. Just go to your Account button on your Triond platform and click Triond Widget. Key in your pen name on the left side and then get your widget. It will be directly pasted to your blog. This is a good way to let other readers know about your articles on Triond. Remember, more views, more income. Your earnings on Triond will depend on traffic views. Payment is via PayPal account. You can withdraw once you reached US$0.50. So, if you are interested you can always sign up on this site anytime you want.
ReviewStream.com
Posted by Unknown in FAQ, Online and offline, PayPal, Writers Resources on Monday, December 5, 2011
The first time I ventured into online writing, I tried www.reviewstream.com. I stumbled upon this site while searching for a legitimate online writing job. As we all know, it is just quite difficult to work for a legitimate online site these days. There are just too many scammers. Anyway, from the feedback from reviewstream users, I read both positive and negative comments. However, I did not find out comments regarding this site as a scam. So, I tried it for myself. After all, at that time, it was my first time to try into online writing. I thought to myself, it would be a good stepping stone for me to start up a career in online writing.
Anyway, reviewstream.com is all about reviewing different kinds of products, from the usual brand of soap we use every day to the name of bookstore or mall that we frequently visit. You can have a lot of stuffs to review. You will never run out of ideas as long as you review products based on your experience. I have submitted hundreds of reviews on reviewstream.com. There are top reviewers who check the submitted articles before they get approved. They leave some comments on the platform. From time to time, I got some articles rejected or need some revisions due to not being specific or the topic is not just interesting. However, it never discouraged me to keep writing. I was even more challenged to do better on my task. It was such a great learning experience for me. Moreover, I also like the fact that the site is quite easy to navigate. It is quite functional. You do not have to undergo a formal registration. The only thing that you do is to choose your own pen name and then provide an email address. The mode of payment is through PayPal. You can read the FAQ for further information.
In terms of income, I can say that it is quite a paltry amount for an experienced writer. It is not sufficient enough to sustain your daily needs. However, for a newbie, this is also one of the good writing sites to start with. You just have to work hard and you can earn more if you put your heart into writing more product reviews. You will also learn extra tips from the top reviewers of the site. In addition, they pay promptly once you reached the pay-out limit which is now US$30. It would only take hours for me to cash out my earnings. I can say that this is a one hundred percent legitimate online writing site. Now, I am already starting my own blog sites but still I write on this site from time to time.
