Get Paid To Blog With ReviewMe.com

ReviewMe.com

Another site which offers extra income for bloggers is ReviewMe.com.I joined this site after I read a blog from a fellow blogger. She made a few reviews on the site and even showed off her payout proofs. Anyway, here is what I learned from this site:

What is ReviewMe.com?
From its homepage, one can make money by reviewing and promoting products and write your honest review on your blog. If you are interested to apply as a reviewer, you can easily create a free account on this site. They will check your blog whether it meets their required standard which is meeting the minimum number of subscribers, content and traffic. You only have to wait for a few hours to know whether your blog is approved or rejected. Don't worry if your blog is rejected, you can always reapply after a few months.

How does it work?
ReviewMe is quite different compared to how SponsoredReviews works. Instead of the blogger finding the advertisers to review, in ReviewMe.com, its the other way around. The advertisers will choose blogs to make a review on their sites or products. In short, a blogger should wait for review offers from the advertisers. Once you get the offer, you can either accept the offer or not. For more information on how to make reviews on this site, you can check out their review guidelines.

How bloggers can earn?
A blogger can start earning when clients buy reviews from you. You have to have a good blog site contents and higher ratings from Alexa, Google and other big search engines. Now, if you are writing a different language aside from English, you can still earn from ReviewMe.com. There are advertisers who expect to get a review written in German, Russian language and more.

How much can I earn?
One can earn anywhere from US$20 up to US$200 for each completed review. It all depends on the amount offered by the advertisers. The more offers you get, the more chances of getting extra income.

How do I get paid?
Payments can be through PayPal, check or through Prepaid MasterCard. There is no minimum amount to cash out from PayPal. However, you need to reach US$25 for you to cash out your earnings through check and Prepaid MasterCard. Payments are made monthly.

My verdict:
I prefer SponsoredReviews compared to ReviewMe.com. I have been a member of this site for barely a month now. So far, I have not received any offer yet from any advertiser. I guess, competition is just so stiff among reviewers. There are several established bloggers who already made a good name on this site. Of course, they will be prioritized by advertisers. If you are still interested to join the site, you can check it out for yourself, ReviewMe.com.

Feel free to share your experiences or ideas regarding ReviewMe.com. This is for the benefit of everyone, the readers and other fellow bloggers who want to earn extra income online.

Making Post Title Appears Before Blog Title

Making Post Title Appears Before Blog Title

One of the things that I learned from blogger account is that it has a default setting in which blog title appears first before post title. Now, this is a bad news since it is not SEO friendly. Our main goal as a blogger is to share our blogs with other people and get visible online. Therefore, it is a must that our blog is indexed and optimized by those search engines. Anyway, the good thing about making post title appears before blog title is that you can target readers who are interested in your blog content and get return visits. Furthermore, Google only shows a maximum of 70 characters in the title in search results. So it is best to let search engines read and show your post title first just in case you have a very long post title. This is an additional idea from Peter.

Anyway, here are the steps I did to be able to make post title appears before blog title:

  • Go to Design Tab.
  • Then, click on Edit HTML.
  • Before editing your template, back it up by clicking Download Full template.
  • You search for this tag: <title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title> or you can press Ctrl+F to search it faster.
  • Then, once you found the tag above, replace it with the following code.
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;index&quot;'>
<title><data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageName/></title>
</b:if>
  • Finally, save your template.
Just wait for your previous blog posts to get re-indexed by search engines. It would take some time. For your new blog post, you can see that your post title will appear first before your blog title by searching on Google. Wait till your blog traffic shows significant increase over the next few days. For now, just enjoy blogging.

Problems I Encountered With My Blog

ProblemsIEncounteredWithMyBlog

Blogging is indeed exciting especially when you have so many interesting ideas to share to your readers. It is easy to set up your own blog for free. However, don't get too excited especially if you plan to increase traffic and market your blog. Aside from posting quality contents, one has to know about SEO (search engine optimization) in order to gain more readers for your blog and maximize your blog's potential. I do not have much idea regarding SEO. I am just lucky that there are fellow bloggers who are willing to share their ideas about SEO stuffs. I still have so many things to learn. Right now, I can say that my blogging experience is great. I learn several things from expert bloggers and get to connect with them as well.

Anyway, this blog of mine is almost three months old and still I experience several blogging problems, both technical and SEO problems. So, I decided to write those problems I encountered while blogging. This would serve as my guide when I set up another blog. Here is the list of my blogging problems and some solutions I made. Still, I have so many things to resolve. Hopefully, I could address these soon.

1. Feedburner Stealing My Backlinks - this one had already been resolved and I made a separate article for this and how I corrected the problem with the help of a fellow blogger.

2. Making Post Title Appears Before Blog Title - The same fellow blogger who helped me with the problem about feedburner also informed me regarding this problem. I am so glad that he is very helpful. I will make a separate review on this soon. I already corrected this problem. It would take some time though before I can see better results once Google and other search engines would reindex those previous articles I made on this blog.

3. Alt Tags on Images Posted on My Blog - I am still trying to figure out this problem. I found out about this when I checked the status of my blog site. It says there that alt tags on images posted on any blog is relevant to tell search engines about what my page is all about. I got only 19 images which have alt tags and around 70 images got no alt tags in them.

4. Internal Pages Have No Page Descriptions - I do not have any idea about this, still trying to figure out how to resolve this problem...or is this really a big deal for SEO? Anyone???

5. Social Subscriptions - I know social networking sites are helpful to increase audience in any blog. I would work out on this soon.

6. Archive Page - I already had an archive section for my older posts. However, this problem came up when a particular paid to blog site that I applied for required their applicants to have an Archive Page on their blogs. I read blogs regarding putting up Archive Page, still I have trouble setting it right.

This would be all for now. I know there would be more things to learn and explore in blogging. Gradually, I would be able to resolve these problems in due time.

Reasons Why I Stopped Reading Your Blog

Reasons Why I Stopped Reading Your Blog

I enjoy reading different blogs everyday. I read almost everything from blogging ideas, fashion blogs, historical, musical and even showbiz blogs. The internet is just so vast that one can learn all sort of things in just a matter of short time. Anyway, there are several blog sites that I have bookmarked for years now. I still have some of those interesting blogs while I deleted those blogs that I lost interest reading. I posted here my personal reasons why I stopped reading those blogs.

1. Your blog takes several minutes to load up.
Readers do not like to keep waiting on a blog site that would load up too long. You may have uploaded several widgets and other stuffs that may not be important in your blog. When things like this happen, I readily cancel loading up the blog site.

2. Your blog is unreadable.
Sometimes, you think adding several colors would entice your readers to follow your blog. In fact, this is the exact opposite. I do not want to strain my eyes reading on something that is too splashy nor too dark. It is also difficult to read blogs with small fonts and those with overwhelmingly huge font size. I would prefer to read simple text font and decent color blogs that are not eye straining. After all, simplicity is beauty.

3. Your blog is simply a total mess.
I cannot locate where your latest article is. There are just too many ads and other stuffs on your blog that it distracts me from reading your latest article.

4. Your blog has so many pop-ups.
It is quite frustrating that instead of reading your article, all I can see are those annoying pop-ups. There are some blogs with simple pop-ups on the side. However, there are blogs that have several pop-ups that would occupy the entire blog platform. It leaves the readers getting annoyed and would never return to your blog site.

5. Your blog is not updated.
The latest article on your blog is dated two or three months ago. Either you are too busy with your life or with other jobs or you simply drifted away. I love to follow your blog when you keep fresh contents every week. It is something that readers are looking forward to.

6. You simply do not reply to comments.
I love leaving comments to interesting articles on your blog. However, you are not quite interactive or you simply do not care. Isn't it exciting and wonderful knowing that someone took the time reading your blog? I guess out of appreciation or letting the reader know that you are indeed alive and kicking, why not reply back to those comments? Not only will your reader appreciate your effort but you gain avid readers, too.

7. Your blog does not have a particular subject.
One second you talk about blogging ideas, then the next, you give your thoughtless bickering about the world and the people around you. I would definitely get lost on that one. In the first place, I visited your blogs because I want to learn interesting ideas from you, not about your personal problems. I guess there is a specific place on that one.

8. Your blog is a product of plagiarism.
This is very disheartening. There are several bloggers out there who make extra effort and time to research on certain topic that they want to post on their blogs. Now, here comes a lazy blogger who simply wants to copy other's content. I read two or three blogs in the past that literally copied one's blog word for word. I never visited those blog sites again.

I am not an expert on these stuffs. I also had my shortcomings regarding my blog. However, I try to reinvent so I can gain more readership. After all, I put up this blog not just for my personal use but to share to everyone. Anyway, feel free to share your reasons why you stopped reading other blog sites.

Feedburner Stealing My Backlinks

Feedburner Stealing My Backlinks

FEEDBURNER STEALING BACKLINKS??? I really do not have any idea regarding this stuff until a fellow blogger emailed me about this problem. I have been leaving some comments on his interesting and informative blog  for a few days now. Then, I was surprised when he informed me that my CommentLuv link on his blog is giving a link back to FeedProxy.google.com instead of a backlink to my site. I really do not have any idea what he was talking about at that time. Fortunately, he was kind enough to send me a great article that would explain thoroughly on how to rectify my problem on feedburner settings. The site link is  http://www.synactable.com/blog/charleston-sc/feedburner-commentluv-backlinks/. Once you read the article, you will understand how much you have lost by not paying attention to your feedburner settings just like what I did. You will lost  valuable backlinks on your site. I really would like to thank  Peter for this valuable information.

Image representing FeedBurner as depicted in C...Image via CrunchBase

Due to this incident, I learned how important backlinks are. Those established webmasters and bloggers may give credit to any blogger who would frequently visit or comment on their blogs. This thing is a great advantage especially to newbie bloggers like me. This would mean that those search engines would give a higher status from the quality backlinks one would get from those webmasters. I also learned that a blog site may gain higher status if you get quality backlinks from blogs with the same niche. So, in my case, I was lucky enough to get quality backlinks from some established websites which has the same niche as mine.  When you get more backlinks, your blog site will also improve its rank. Remember, these backlinks are freely given by the site administrators especially when they appreciate your efforts on taking the time to read and browse over their sites and leave interesting comments.

How about you? Have you ever encountered such problem with Feedburner?

What is a Blog Directory?

blog+directory

As a newbie in the blogging world, I always wonder what are those small buttons above. I usually see those buttons from almost all of the blogs that I browse every day. I really got curious and so I did a few investigations. The collective name of those small buttons is a blog directory button. I researched further and I found out that there are hundreds of blog directories out there. Here are some interesting facts I learned about blog directory.

What is a blog directory?
A blog directory categorizes and compiles all those millions of blogs on the internet. It is helpful in sorting out a certain blog site into its appropriate category. It would be easy now for blog visitors to browse over the different categories of blogs that would interest them. There are even great blog directories which allow small descriptions and reviews for blogs so it would be easy to identify them from the rest of the blogs.

What is its importance in blogging?
All bloggers wanted to be visible on the internet. You want someone would read your blogs and so you build audience. Promoting your blogs play an important role in blogging. Aside from social networking sites, one way to gain audience is through blog directories. The importance of blog directory is that it may improve a blog's position in search engines. There are several blog directories that have high ranking because of the high amount of inbound links to them. Those top blog directories got relevant contents and are strictly structured. An inbound link from these top blog directories can improve a blog's position in the search engines. Google crawls blog directories oftentimes. So, all the sites listed in a particular top blog directory will also be crawled by Google. It helps in promoting your blogs and increase back links. In addition, you can be a part of a growing community of bloggers in which you can learn additional tips from them and exchange some links.

Now, there are different blog directories that you can choose from. There are those that function automatically. A blogger may submit his/her blog so it can be automatically included. It is quite easy to join in any blog directory of your choice. You only have to submit your blog, fill out a form, copy and paste the html code of a certain blog directory on your blog, then wait for approval. Any blogger can submit their blogs as long as it does not violate the terms and condition of any specific blog directory. Furthermore, there are other blog directories in which employees or volunteers will check blogs that are submitted before they are approved. Blog directories may or may not require bloggers to have a small blog button on their blogs. There are several blog directories that you might want to submit your blogs. Most of the blog directories on this list have high page rank:

1. Technorati - One of the most established blog directories with more than 30 categories to date. It can increase visibility of your blog sites with thousands of bloggers on the site.

Donanza.com

One of the things that any blogger wants to achieve for his or her blog is of course to attract more readers. After all, it feels great that someone out there is reading our blog/s. We can impart our ideas and at the same time learn important things from readers and fellow bloggers. The internet world offers a lot of opportunities for everyone. Not to mention, with the increase number of audience on our blogs, more opportunities to earn extra income as well.

Anyway, I consider myself still a newbie in the blogging world though I have been writing articles for quite some time now. This is my first blog ever. It will take me sometime to learn the ropes about blogging. However, I always find ways to learn as blogging really fascinates me. Now, to entice more readers on my blog, I came up with a job board page. A job board is just perfect since my blog is all about giving information about online jobs.

Now, while searching the net for the best job board to use on my blog, I stumbled upon Donanza.com. This site is for online freelancer and for those who have small and medium businesses. Freelancers can choose several available online jobs while small business owners can source out freelance workers readily. The good thing about Donanza is that there are several sites that supply job listings such as Odesk, Elance and several others on the site. This is a great opportunity for blog visitors to check out Donanza Project Board.

If you are a blogger, it is free to sign up for a Donanza Project Board. You can also earn extra income just by integrating Donanza Project Board on your site. Donanza allows publisher to use your own personal domain. (Next time, I will discuss on how I integrate  Donanza Project Board without navigating away from my blog.)

Moving on, there are two ways to earn income using Donanza. First, you can earn through users' click on posted projects the blog visitors may find interesting. You will start earning money once a user bids or works on the project. Second, employers can post directly on your own board. Isn't it exciting? You can freely set the price you want to charge for each post on your board. In addition, Donanza Project Board features easy to use interface and the use of RSS Feed to send new listings to your twitter and facebook accounts. Advantages and Disadvantages of Traffic Exchange Programs

Advantages and Disadvantages of Traffic Exchange Programs

As a newbie in the blogging world, I get too excited to see views on my blog increasing each day. I tried to research several ways on how to increase traffic on my blog. I tried all those recommendations, from promoting my blog site to social networking sites, giving sensible comments to fellow bloggers and more. Well, I got some good results since I was able to increase my views a bit each day. However, once you get a taste of some success you crave for more. That was what happened to me. I became impatient on getting the usual 20-30 audience views per day. So, I tried surfing the internet for better ways to get more traffic on my blog.

While surfing, I came across the term traffic exchange program. So, what is a traffic exchange program? It is a program in which you join so you can surf other members' websites and vice versa. This in return will earn you more traffic on your blog or site. There is a credit ratio scheme in which for every number of views you have made on other websites, you also get the same corresponding amount of views on your site. if you do not have time to surf other websites, you can also make used of paid advertisement for traffic exchange. Anyway, there are hundreds or even thousands of traffic exchange programs on the internet. Try to choose one that would best suit your needs. Each traffic exchange program has its own ways to get more views on your site. There are text ad exchange programs, banner exchange, blog traffic exchange and more.  As for me, so far, I have tried three traffic exchange programs. In my next blog, I will be discussing regarding my experiences on these sites.

Moving on, you might get overjoyed that traffic exchange programs may be  the answer to your slow traffic views on your site. However, this style has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages of Traffic Exchange Programs:
  • Traffic exchange programs are used for low budget advertisement promotions by small business owners or marketers.
  • With the traffic exchange, there would be an increase on the views of your blog which would increase trust from search engines.
  • For a newbie, the traffic you get from traffic exchange programs can help you get some new readers on your site.
  • While earning credits by viewing other sites, you may have the chance to see other sites related to yours. You can keep in touch with the site owner and start some direct link exchange. You can gain a good back link from a site with high PR rating. This in return can improve your site when it comes to search engine visibility. You also get direct traffic from the other site.
  • In addition, you will gain higher impressions on Google analytics and other analytics platform. If you are selling some advertisements on your blog or site, you can have the chance to get advertisers at a good price.

Disadvantages of Traffic Exchange Programs:
  • Based on my experience, I became so hooked up on surfing other sites using traffic exchange programs. I did not have much time to write more on my blogs.
  • There are traffic exchange programs that have low conversion rate. You need to do some investigations and trials just to get the best traffic exchange programs that would suit your needs.
  • There are no returning visitors and you rarely get some clicks on your advertisements. So, it means less revenue on your part.
  • There are some traffic exchange programs that are against Google Adsense' rules.
  • You can see some display ads on your websites which are quite irrelevant to your site. Some of these ads involve pictures of a sexy young woman or other stuffs. Readers may find it inappropriate.
  • Most surfers from traffic exchange programs do not spend much time reading the content of your site. You do not get full benefit of the program.
  • There are sites that you surf that may bring harm to your computer or may slow down your computer performance. Sometimes, it takes time to open these sites which is also time consuming.
  • And the most important thing, you will get high bounce rates which is not good at all. Higher bounce rate means that people are not interested in your blog content. The bounce rate increases when your visitors stay only for a few seconds on your site.

Finally,  as much as possible try to stay away from traffic exchange programs if you do not really need it. A good organic traffic on your site is good enough to boost your site or blog on the online world. Traffic exchange is not highly recommended by experienced bloggers as there are more disadvantages than advantages. At the end of the day, it is always your choice. Just consider those advantages and disadvantages I mentioned above.

MoraChat.com Review

MoraChat.com

Morachat.com is another option for online surfers to maximize income opportunity. This is a paid to post forum site. There are three ways that one can earn from this site. You can earn for posting your ideas on forum chat rooms. You can also earn by referring your friends and other people to the site. From time to time, there are some posts made by the admin regarding job openings on the extra work section which is really a good income opportunity. Most of the job openings are on article writers, bloggers and more.

Moving on, you can start earning on this site simply by replying to some posts or you can even start a new post yourself. All of which you can earn a measly amount of income. This is not a quick rich scheme program. If you enjoy posting on forums, then this is a good site for you. Each post you submitted should contain 25 words or more except for game forums. The admin is quite strict when it comes to posting quality posts. They do not allow spamming. You can always check all the rules from the site for more information. When it comes to earnings, the post rate is around $ 0.01 - 0.02. Through your referrals, you can earn 50c.  Now, you can cash out your earnings only through PayPal account. The minimum cash out is $9.

Anyway, the platform is quite easy to use. You can even make your personalized profile and interact with other members through a private message. Just take time to familiarize the whole platform and in the long run, you will get the hang of it. Aside from earning a minimal income from Morachat, the admin and the members are really friendly and accommodating. You can also receive messages from your personal email regarding some announcements or posts that you made. The good thing about this site is that it is very interactive. You can easily ask from the admin with prompt answers.  From time to time, the admin post some tutorials on article writing, blogging and other stuffs. This a good site to earn and learn from other people as well.  So, if you enjoy paid to post forum, then try Morachat.  My experience on this site is really good. I visit this site like 4 or 5 times a week during my free time. If you regularly post on the site, then you can easily reach your minimum payout in just a few days. Note that this task would not really make you rich but the friendship, fun and knowledge you learn from other people is indeed great! New income opportunities also await you.

Triond.com Review

Triond.com

If you love to write any relevant topics, then Triond is just the right place for you. It is your opportunity to share your passion in writing. Anyway, I have been a member of this site for barely a month now. I just tried it when a friend of mine recommended it to me. What I like about this site is that it has a professional designed platform. It is easy to maneuver.  You will also have your personal webpage in which you can add friends, post your blog sites, articles, photos and more. You can submit not just articles but as well as your videos, photos and sound files. The submitted articles, photos and other things are reviewed immediately and after a few minutes, these will be published on different sites affiliated to Triond.

Anyway, the good thing about this site is that you can earn extra money. One can earn money from Triond every time a person views your articles. If you get more views on your submitted articles and photos, then you earn more as well. However, the amount is quite low and not sufficient enough for a writing job. Still, do not be disappointed. If you have your own blog, then you can take advantage of Triond. There are several Triond members who are established bloggers. You can make friends with them and build consistent followers for your own blog.

So far, I have only submitted two articles and a photo since I am still testing this site. In just less than a week, I got twelve views from fellow Triond members and I earned US$0.01. I was really surprised that with just a small number of views I can start earning. A good tip to earn more views is to promote your articles to your social networking friends, your family members or simply put up a Triond widget on your blog site. In this way, viewers of your blog may have a chance to view your articles on Triond. Setting up your Triond widget is just very easy to do. Just go to your Account button on your Triond platform and click Triond Widget. Key in your pen name on the left side and then get your widget. It will be directly pasted to your blog. This is a good way to let other readers know about your articles on Triond. Remember, more views, more income.  Your earnings on Triond will depend on traffic views. Payment is via PayPal account. You can withdraw once you reached US$0.50. So, if you are interested you can always sign up on this site anytime you want.
